Instead of getting into a tug-of-war fight for Black Friday deals, support local business on Small Business Saturday. Check out these deals happening around the Denver metro area on Saturday, November 30.

BookBar 

This Tennyson favorite will host Santa and his elves from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, November 30 with happy hour prices for grownups on drinks all day, as well as $5 sangria and $5 mulled wine. The bookstore will also be raffling off a tote bag and bottle of BookBar wine to customers who sign up on their email list.

Dairy Block 

Downtown Denver’s micro-district is giving away $10 Milk Market gift cards to the first 1,000 shoppers in celebration of Small Business Saturday. To qualify, shoppers must make a purchase at any Dairy Block retailer, then show their receipt at the Dairy Block Shop Small table located in their decorated alley. Fetch Shop will be giving shoppers free craft beers from Fort Collins’ New Belgium Brewing Company in celebration of Small Business Saturday.

Common Threads Denver 

This boutique consignment store on South Pearl will be doing a weekend-long sale for Black Friday and Small Business Saturday. Customers receive 20 percent off the entire store all weekend, in addition to free cider, wine, and treats while they shop.

Cherry Creek North 

Seventy percent of the retailers in this 16-block area are locally owned, and to celebrate them, everyone that shops at a Cherry Creek North business participating in Small Business Saturday has a chance to win bags that contains $2,000 worth of Cherry Creek North gift cards. Throughout the month of November leading up to Small Business Saturday, Cherry Creek North will be holding small business trivia on their social media channels for chances to win gift cards, which are accepted at more than 180 businesses in the shopping district.

Denver Darling Boutique 

This women’s boutique in Cherry Creek is offering customers 15 percent off their entire purchase on Saturday, November 30, as well as a free gift for any purchases more than $100.

Larimer Square

Downtown Denver’s shopping district is kicking off the holiday season with deals at many of their stores. Western-themed Cry Baby Ranch sells clothes for parents and little buckaroos and will be serving free mimosas to adult shoppers. Specializing in wool clothing, blankets, and accessories, Pendleton is offering 50 percent off select apparel and 40 percent off select towels, sleepwear, blankets, and accessories. Mom can pick up makeup, skincare, and bath and body goods at Aillea, who’s offering 20 percent off purchases the entire weekend, with some brands excluded.

Olde Town Arvada 

Beginning at 10 a.m., Olde Town Arvada will kick off Small Business Saturday with free coffee from Hunter Bay Coffee Roasters and free burritos from School House Kitchen and Libations for the first 100 people to come by Olde Town Square. Afterward, shop around the small businesses, including Balefire Goods, Carly’s Boutique, and toy store Super Zoom Bang Bang. Olde Town Square is located at the corner of 57th Avenue and Olde Wadsworth Blvd.

Stanley Marketplace

This former factory in Aurora now has more than 50 small businesses with options for food, play, and shopping. On Small Business Saturday, take advantage of special offerings that allow parents to enjoy a few hours of distraction-free shopping.

  • Neighborhood Music is offering one free class to kids on Small Business Saturday so parents can get an hour of solo shopping. Kids ages five to six can act out their favorite fairy tales in the Storybook Theater class from 10 to 11 a.m. Ages seven and up can rock out and learn music from The School of Rock Musical from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Ages seven and up write, direct, and perform plays in the Create and Move Crash Course from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. Potterheads can go full Hogwarts in the Music and Hogwarts class from 3 to 4 p.m., for ages six and up.
  • Bounce Stapleton is offering drop-off programs for kids ages three to six on Small Business Saturday. From 10 a.m. to noon, little ones will be entertained with gymnastics, obstacle courses, games, and free time while parents get some shopping done. $30 per child.

Tennyson/Berkeley

Many of the small businesses on Tennyson and Berkeley streets will offer discounts and free items with the Small Business Holiday Passport. To participate, shoppers pick up a passport at any participating businesses on December 30. Once shoppers have collected at least five stamps in their passport, they can return it to Jolly Goods by December 7 to be entered to win a gift basket from all participating locations. The mama ’hood

This go-to clothing store for moms is offering 25 percent off all clothes on Small Business Saturday, as well as a buy one get one 50 percent off on nursing bras.

Timbuk Toys 

All four locations of this locally-owned toy store will offer $5 off any purchase of $25 or more when customers mention the deal.
