Pediatric cancer patients, doctors, researchers, and media personalities gathered on Thursday, August 7 at the Colorado Children’s Hospital to join The Morgan Adams Foundation for their Motorized Madness Media Challenge. The event, a remote-control car race, invited community members to show up in support of childhood cancer research.

Held at the hospital’s Anschutz Campus, the races featured teams made up of young patients, hospital staff, and members of the media. In addition to the races, families enjoyed face painting, balloon animals, music, and treats. Attendees also got a look at special race cars brought to the event by drivers and enthusiasts.

“This event has always been one of the most heartwarming reminders of why we do what we do,” said Joan Slaughter, founder and executive director of The Morgan Adams Foundation. “It’s a powerful opportunity for our community to come together, hear directly from the families we support, and see the real, tangible impact their generosity makes in the lives of kids fighting cancer. Year after year, I’m moved by the kindness and commitment that fill the lot.”

Events like Motorized Madness are an important part of the ongoing fight against pediatric cancer. By providing opportunities for the community to gather, learn, and donate, organizations like The Morgan Adams Foundation are paving the way to a pediatric cancer-free future.

Supporters who missed the event can still contribute by donating online, volunteering, or attending upcoming events like the 22nd Annual Morgan Adams Concours d’Elegance from August 22–24, and the 15th Annual Race Against Kids’ Cancer from September 27–28.
