Shoot Like A Girl is bringing its mobile range experience to the Thornton Cabela’s as part of its 2025 Authentic Tour, offering a unique opportunity for women to engage with shooting sports in a safe and supportive environment. The event is free and will take place on Saturday, July 12, from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., and Sunday, July 13, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Designed to educate and empower, the Shoot Like A Girl event invites women of all experience levels to step into the world of firearms and archery through hands-on, instructor-led activities. With certified female instructors, cutting-edge simulators, and safety-focused programming, this interactive weekend is ideal for those looking to explore shooting sports or strengthen their skills. All necessary equipment will be provided to participants.
Participants aged 18 and older will be able to handle and fire handguns and long guns inside the range using a military-grade firearm simulator. This high-tech system mimics real-world shooting with realistic feedback, without the live ammunition.
Certified archery coaches will also be on-site to help guests learn or improve their bow shooting skills. In addition, instructors will provide safety talks specifically designed for children and teens under 18, reinforcing the importance of firearm safety for the whole family.
Guests can also explore the “gun bar” display, where they’ll have the chance to compare various types of firearms, from revolvers and semi-automatics to rifles and shotguns.
