For many of us, childhood Saturday mornings meant waking up early and nestling in with cartoons and a giant bowl of sugary cereal. The Cereal Box, a restaurant newcomer to Olde Town Arvada, is reviving that cereal and cartoons experience for parents and kids to share.

“Cereal can be so many different things; a meal, a snack, a treat, so we’re able to play off of that, bring in nostalgia and fun, and create something unique and different,” says co-owner Lori Hofer.

Featuring every cereal imaginable, The Cereal Box houses rows of childhood favorites like Golden Grahams, Frosted Flakes, and Cinnamon Toast Crunch. International hits like South Korean Oreo O’s and Weetabix also line the colorful walls. Bowls start at $3.75 for a small bowl and increase in price with your choice of larger bowls, and organic, British, and globally imported cereal. Toppings are fifty cents each. Coffee, Pop-Tarts sandwiches, and cereal-infused hot chocolate and milkshakes are also available.

With gluten-free and vegan options, non-dairy milks, and an array of toppings to personalize every cereal bowl, owners Hofer and Michael Emmerson aimed to create a
place where families, young adults, and kids can come together to take time out of their day and enjoy a delicious bowl of cereal.

The Cereal Box is open Tuesday through Thursday, 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., and Friday through Sunday, 8 a.m to 8 p.m. 5709 Olde Wadsworth Blvd., Arvada
