Tis” the season when kids eagerly await the arrival of the jolly man in red—but it seems the mystery and magic of Santa Claus dwindles among some children with each passing year. He can be found just about anywhere this time of year. From mall appearances, holiday parties, special events and even local brunch spots, it seems as though Santa has become a true chameleon—and kids may be catching on to the ruse. For those with little skeptics, the YMCA of the Rockies in Estes Park is gifting its guests with some last minute Christmas magic.

Imagine, for a moment, the shock and awe that would appear on your child’s face as they open the door on Christmas Eve to find Santa—with a bag of presents tossed over his shoulder and a jolly “HO, HO, HO” bellowing from his mouth. Well, at the YMCA of the Rockies, that’s just what’s in store for guests this Christmas. The Y is putting a unique spin on the holiday tradition of visiting Santa by bringing him straight to your private cabin or hotel room. With this one-of-a-kind experience, Santa will literally arrive at your doorstep and hand-deliver presents to your kiddos (supplied by the parents, of course) on Christmas Eve.

Families staying at the YMCA of the Rockies over the Christmas holiday can experience this personal Santa visit free of charge. Upon check-in, simply call to make a reservation with Santa, tell them a few “naughty or nice” details about your kids and receive instructions on where to leave the presents for Santa to deliver. The rest is up to Santa—he”ll surprise your little ones at the door on Christmas Eve with their special personalized gifts and details.

“The personal Santa visit is one of the many special activities the YMCA of the Rockies offers to help bring families together,” says Sarah Shelton, brand manager for YMCA of the Rockies at Estes Park. “We know the mystery of Santa can get swept aside amid all the hustle and bustle of the holidays, so we created this program to help keep the magic alive and give families a once in a lifetime experience they will remember forever.”

There’s a lot more holiday cheer at the YMCA of the Rockies this season. From now until New Years, families can enjoy holiday movies, crafts and sleigh rides, or bundle up and explore the great outdoors with snowshoeing, wildlife watching and nature walks.
