Great Divide Brewery and Roadhouse, one of Colorado’s most decorated craft breweries, has officially made its RiNo (River North Arts District) debut.

The new location, just a mile from its original location, is located in the former Stem Ciders taproom, Great Divide’s sister brand. Founded in 1994, Great Divide became Denver’s first microbrewery at a time when craft beer was just beginning to take hold.

“Expanding into RiNo felt like a natural next chapter,” says Justin Adrian, President of Operations for Vibe Concepts. “Planting a taproom and restaurant here gives us the opportunity to connect with new neighbors, welcome long-time fans, and offer an approachable space.”

Not only does Great Divide serve delicious food and drink, but they offer a comfortable space for families to enjoy a time away from home. Justin says with a thoughtful kids’ menu, plenty of space for strollers, highchairs, and booth seating, parents can relax while kids enjoy a great meal.

“We hope families leave feeling connected, both to each other and to the Great Divide community. Whether it’s a parent enjoying a favorite IPA, a kid discovering a new go-to meal, or a family making a memory over dinner, we want every visit to feel welcoming and fun for all,” Justin says.

Food and Drink

With its award-winning craft brews and elevated comfort food, Denver’s most taste-driven neighborhood will see Great Divide’s classics alongside 12 taps, including a Stem Ciders option as a nod to the building’s past, inventive cocktails, thoughtful mocktails, and NA picks. The food menu leans into comfort – from pork green chili and Hazy IPA-battered fish and chips to spicy noodles and brunch favorites like chicken and waffles or a loaded breakfast burrito.

With delicious seasonal cocktails like their boozy eggnog and peppermint espresso shot, and their Yeti beer flavors, you’re sure to get in the festive feels.

“We love the holidays and currently have three seasonal beers that are perfect for this time of year,” Justin says. “On the food side, families can look forward to elevated comfort dishes, seasonal specials, and shareable meals that pair beautifully with both our beer lineup and our thoughtful non-alcoholic offerings.”

Perfect for this time of year is their Chocolate Peanut Butter Yeti – a bold, velvety imperial stout with rich cocoa and roasted peanut notes that taste like a peanut butter cup in a can. Hibernation Ale, the beloved winter classic since 1995, is a robust, dry-hopped English-style old ale known for its malty richness and warm character. Great Divide is also pouring Laws Barrel Aged Yeti, aged for at least 12 months in whiskey barrels from their neighbors at Laws Whiskey House, resulting in a complex yet smooth stout with hints of vanilla, oak, and a spirit-kissed finish.

Not into the IPAs or ales? Try Great Divide’s Strawberry Rhubarb Sour Ale, a delicious and refreshing drink built for people like me, who can’t always handle the malty richness.

And if you’re looking for the perfect drink-food combo, Justin says to try the Philly Panini with the Hazy IPA, while the Roadhouse Salad is brightened by the Strawberry Rhubarb Sour. Want to try something heartier? Justin recommends the Teriyaki Salmon Bowl, which pairs beautifully with the Samurai Lager. The Steak N Fries is also a natural match for a Yeti Imperial. And if you’re craving a burger, their All American Burger shines alongside the American Lager, and the Jam Burger is equally delicious with either a Denver Pale Ale or a Colette.

For more than 30 years, Great Divide has played a defining role in Colorado’s beer scene, garnering 19 GABF medals, five World Beer Cup Awards and 14 spots on Beer Advocate’s Top-Rated Beers: Colorado.

“We’re proud to be one of Denver’s original craft breweries. But beyond the beer, Great Divide is rooted in Colorado culture. Our goal has always been to create spaces where people can unite and share great food and drink,” Justin says.
