We all know that if kids had their choice when going out to eat, most would be just fine with a burger or pizza on their plates. No elevated gastronomical experience necessary. And as for atmosphere, they can do without the chic décor. Mid-mod industrial farmhouse style? These little chowhounds don’t care! Give them some space to stretch out, a novelty service, or an activity to help the time pass while they wait for their plate to arrive. That’s what kids really want.

So, this year for our family dining issue, we’ve turned the tables. We let the kids order up the locations that made our list of places to take the family for a meal out. In “Destination Dinner,” you’ll discover 12 Denver spots where the kids are for lunch, dinner, and dessert; places they love that offer up a fun eating experience and food that is pleasing to the palate. Not one napkin-in-your-lap, stares-from-other-tables spot on the list. Each place will capture their attention and leave them asking to return.

This issue also serves up our annual Top Dentists list, with more than 760 dentists and specialists, plus you’ll find blissful ways to enjoy fall days, a comparison of grocery delivery services, and more.

Enjoy!
