What is the camp’s mission and philosophy?
Wings Over the Rockies Air and Space Summer Camp is designed to ignite camper’s passion for aviation & space exploration. Wings strives to provide a nurturing and inspiring environment.
What safety measures are in place?
– Existing evacuation & emergency plan
– Campers are supervised at all times
– Outside visitors are not allowed to interact with campers
– All camp staff is trained in first aid & CPR/AED
What is the camper-to-counselor ratio?
1:7
How are staff members screened and trained?
Staff members are screened through our hiring process; including a background check. Staff undergo 2 weeks of comprehensive training on best practices and other American Camp Association guidelines and more.
Is there a daily schedule, and can you provide an example?
Yes – SAMPLE SCHEDULE:
– Introductions, expectations, rules, review of the day.

Are there opportunities for free play or downtime?
Yes
How does the camp handle health issues and allergies?
Campers with COVID, cold or flu symptoms will not be permitted to attend summer camp. Parents/guardians will be notified if the camper is ill. Contact museum for additional health/allergy information.
