What is the school’s mission and philosophy? Our mission is to help every member of our community achieve their full potential, guided by the principles of Authentic Montessori philosophy.

How does the school differentiate itself from other private schools in the area? We are an accredited Montessori school emphasizing individualized education and sustainability. Our students actively participate in gardening, care for our farm animals and operate weekly farm stands.

What are the core values that guide the school community? Our three values are Respect for Self, Respect for Others and Respect for the Environment.

Are there advanced placement, honors programs, or dual enrollment classes available? We ensure that all children are challenged to the appropriate levels by honoring each child’s unique gifts, talents and challenges.

How does the school foster a sense of community among students? Year-round events, an open door policy & a sustainability program that partners with local organizations. We also manage student-run farm stands, share produce and a library for families to exchange books.

How can parents get involved in the school community? Participating in school supply and food drives, adopting families during holidays, helping care for farm animals, sharing their culture in classrooms, assisting with classroom activities, and volunteering at school events.

What percentage of graduates go on to college? Since MCHD only goes through 6th grade, we are not currently tracking college attendance rates.
