What is the camp’s mission and philosophy?

To provide a safe no-judgement active place to create, collaborate and cheer on others as a group so that all succeed. Using Improv Comedy & Filming to collaborate with each other.

 

What safety measures are in place?

First Aid Kits and councilors are always with the kids.  We go over how we expect the kids to act around each other on the first day.

 

What is the camper-to-counselor ratio?

1-4

 

How are staff members screened and trained?

They are our teachers and performers from the theater that have extensive experience working with children.

 

Is there a daily schedule, and can you provide an example?

9:00 – 10 Campers arrive settle in with drawing & Improv Warmups 

10:00 – 11:00  Group work, improv training

11:00 – 12:30 Break/Snack Time/Free time/improv comedy training  

12:30 –  3 Filmmaking/Downtime/Hangout/Pickup

 

Are there opportunities for free play or downtime?

Yes

 

How does the camp handle health issues and allergies?

Campers Parents fill out a questions sheet before camp begins and we document all kids with different needs throughout the day.  We do not give children any of their medication.

 

Are there opportunities for parents to visit or participate in camp activities?

On the last day we have a presentation of the films we made at 2pm on that Friday.
