What is the camp’s mission and philosophy?
Provide a creative and safe environment where youth work with adult mentors to explore their own ideas, develop new skills, and build confidence in themselves through the use of technology.
What safety measures are in place?
Campers are introduced to the equipment used, including safety protocols and rules at the beginning of camp.
What is the camper-to-counselor ratio?
1:5 or 1:6. Camps are capped at 15 campers and 2-3 teachers or mentors lead each camp.
How are staff members screened and trained?
Background checks are required. Staff are trained in their own field of expertise and present knowledge/lessons to campers.
Is there a daily schedule, and can you provide an example?
Camp consists of teaching sessions, demonstrations, hands-on learning, project completion, and final presentations.
Are there opportunities for free play or downtime?
Campers are welcome to bring a lunch and stay after camp for Clubhouse hours which run 1:00-5:00 p.m. This is free innovation and exploration time.
How does the camp handle health issues and allergies?
Parents should notify us ahead of time and we will work with each family to best accommodate and needs and requests.
Are there opportunities for parents to visit or participate in camp activities?
Yes – the final day includes a presentation of the campers work throughout the week that parents are encouraged to come watch.
