What is the camp’s mission and philosophy?

Unplugged. Untamed. Unforgettable. Discover your wild side while on horseback, the high ropes course, watercraft, or a meandering trail. Girl Scout camp has it all. What are you waiting for?

What safety measures are in place?

Camp properties have locked gates on the road. Campers are always supervised. High/low rope and water equipment checks are regularly done.

What is the camper-to-counselor ratio?

We ensure staff-to-camper ratios are met as defined by childcare licensing, and a minimum of a 1:2 staff-to-camper ratio is practiced at all times.

How are staff members screened and trained?

Staff undergo a background check, First Aid/CPR/AED training, and camp training and prep. This includes basic childcare and mental health support training.

Is there a daily schedule, and can you provide an example?

8 am: Breakfast

9:30 am: Specialty program

12:30 pm: Lunch

1:45 pm: Program with your unit

4:30 pm: Siesta

6 pm: Dinner

7:30 pm: All Camp

10 pm: Lights out

Are there opportunities for free play or downtime?

Yes. Typically, an after-lunch rest period allows time to write letters home, read, shower, and relax.

How does the camp handle health issues and allergies?

Parents fill out forms during registration that inform the camp of any health issues or allergies the camper has. All dietary information is shared with food service staff.

Are there opportunities for parents to visit or participate in camp activities?

No, but we encourage parents to write letters and drop them off with their campers for staff to deliver.
