What is the camp’s mission and philosophy?

Encouraging personal growth by providing an excellent program facilitated by highly trained staff. Anchored in this safe community, campers have fun, acquire new skills, and develop a sense of belonging.

What safety measures are in place?

We train staff beyond lawful requirements to uphold high standards. We are 3-6x background checked, have locked buildings and a locked gate surrounding our campus.

What is the camper-to-counselor ratio?

We require 5:1-8:1 ratios depending on the age. Small ratios help in teaching campers new skill and receiving individual attention and support.

How are staff members screened and trained?

Three professional references, extensive written staff application, 3-6x background checks, personal interview, PDIS certified, 35-47 hrs staff orientation plus weekly staff meetings focused on child and staff development training.

Is there a daily schedule, and can you provide an example?

We have 8 activity blocks per day where campers rotate every 30-60 minutes. Older campers have electives. We have special events, theme days, Olympic competitions and service learning projects.

Are there opportunities for free play or downtime?

Yes, every camper has 30-45 min rest period which may include guided visualizations, yoga stretches, deep breathing, meditation, story time, quiet time, or free play.

How does the camp handle health issues and allergies?

Personal information is kept confidential with an acute attention to detail. We administer medications, create alternative programming, are peanut free and treat our community with inclusivity, fairness and care.

Are there opportunities for parents to visit or participate in camp activities?

Of course! We love our parents and grandparents and welcome them into our community. Camp tours are available upon request by our director.
