What is the camp’s mission and philosophy?

We strive to create life-long learners through the modality of experiential education and positive growth. We prioritize inclusion and are open to everyone, always endeavoring to exceed expectations.

 

What safety measures are in place?

Safety is our #1 priority. Some examples; we keep doors locked during program times, create age-appropriate groups and activities, and uphold additional safety measures/certification in adventure zones. 

 

What is the camper-to-counselor ratio?

We have a 15:1 ratio of camper to counselor. 

 

How are staff members screened and trained?

After initial interviews, selected staff undergo multiple background checks, take a First Aid/CPR/AED training if needed, then undergo 4 days of training and prep prior to camp start.

 

Is there a daily schedule, and can you provide an example?

o 8:45am-9:15am: Drop off

o 9:15am-10:15am: STEM/Tech Activity

o 10:15-10:30am: Snack

o 10:30am-12pm: STEM/Tech Activity

o 12pm-1pm: Lunch/Recess

o 1pm-3pm: STEM/Tech Activities

o 3pm-4pm: Adventure Zone (Archery/BBs/Climbing)

o 4pm-4:15pm- Pick-Up

 

Are there opportunities for free play or downtime?

Campers get time for free play and downtime upon arrival to camp, during recess they have their own choice of activity, and at the end of the day. 

 

How does the camp handle health issues and allergies?

We collect camper health information through a system called CampDoc. We strive to accommodate different needs and will communicate with parents to ensure camper safety.

 

Are there opportunities for parents to visit or participate in camp activities?

Parents are welcome to view and participate in any part of our camp activities!
