Imagine the graceful glide of a skater, the thrill of acrobatic stunts, and the excitement of a circus. Now, picture all of that happening on ice. That’s exactly what CRYSTAL, Cirque du Soleil’s 42nd production and first-ever show on ice, will bring to Colorado. You and your family can catch the show at Blue Arena in Loveland from April 18–20.
CRYSTAL follows the story of a teenage girl who goes on a journey of self-discovery after falling through a frozen pond. Her whimsical adventure is an exploration of finding purpose and meaning in life.

The cast of CRYSTAL is made up of 45 performers, each with their own special talents to display. From solo skaters to pair skaters, jugglers to tumblers, and even a segment with “stream skaters” who perform tricks on ramps, the variety of acts ensures there’s something for everyone.
In addition to the stunning performances by the show’s skaters, CRYSTAL pushes the boundaries of stage design. The lighting projections, live musicians, and use of real snow blend together and create an absolutely magical visual experience for audiences.

For Scott Smith, a performer who has skated with Cirque du Soleil since 2017, Colorado isn’t just another stop on the tour. With family roots in Durango and a history of competing in Colorado Springs, Smith is looking forward to bringing CRYSTAL to a place that holds so many memories for him.
In CRYSTAL, Smith doesn’t just skate. He also performs daring backflips on ice, adding an exciting edge to the performance. Smith and three other skaters in the show perform a playful, comedic skate-off, where microphones attached to their skates amplify every glide and spin. The result is a fun, interactive experience that brings the audience closer to the action.
Whether you’re captivated by the stunning performances or the touching story of self-discovery, CRYSTAL promises a magical evening that will leave audience members of all ages in awe.
