Parking and Permits for Nature
Mount Blue Sky
Mt. Blue Sky is a fantastic spot for nature lovers. You can drive to the top of this 14er for breathtaking views or explore the beautiful trails. It’s perfect for a day of hiking, picnicking, or simply soaking in the natural beauty.
Reservations: Required between 9 a.m. and 6 p.m.

Pikes Peak Summit
The Pikes Peak Summit is an iconic 14er with stunning views. You can drive up the scenic Pikes Peak Highway, or take the cog railway to the top. Once there, enjoy the scenery and the feeling of being on top of the world.
Admission Fee: Required
Hours: 7:30 a.m. to 7 p.m.

  • Children (6-15): $5

Manitou Incline
The Manitou Incline in Colorado is a must-try for adventure seekers. This trail, originally a cable car track, has nearly 2,768 steps. It’s a tough climb but rewards you with stunning views and a great workout.
Reservations: Free and required.
Hours: 6 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Parking Options: 

  • Hiawatha Gardens Parking Lot (walk or shuttle to the start): Hourly Rates
  • Iron Springs Chateau: Free
  • Downtown Street Parking: Hourly Rates

Close to the City Spots
Red Rocks
Whether you’re going on a hike, jamming at a concert, or attending an event, this outdoor venue is a must, even for locals.
Parking: Available on-site; fills up quickly for events, so arrive early.
Entry: Free to visit during the day; tickets are required for events.
Tip: Bring layers, as the weather can change quickly.

Meow Wolf
Meow Wolf offers an immersive, interactive art experience that’s fun for all ages. Explore its unique rooms and exhibits that blend art and technology.
Parking: On-site parking is on a pay-to-park basis.
Entry: Tickets are required; purchase online in advance to avoid long lines.
Hours: Vary by day; check their website for current hours.
Tip: Plan to spend a few hours exploring all the exhibits.

16th Street Mall
The 16th Street Mall is a vibrant pedestrian street in downtown Denver lined with shops, restaurants, and street performers.
Parking: Several parking garages and lots are nearby; street parking is also available.
Entry: Free to walk around.
Tip: Take the free MallRide shuttle to easily explore the entire length of the mall.
