Parents, consider this your permission slip to get away. Valentine’s Day is the perfect excuse to trade carpools for cocktails and bedtime routines for room service. These nearby getaways will make it easy to sneak off, recharge, and enjoy a little romance.

Parent’s Night Out

Little Monkey Bizness at The Orchard Town Center is hosting a Valentine’s Day event for both the kiddos and the parents. This year, a kid-free date night is doable, with a Parents’ Night Out event designed to give parents a well-deserved break.

On Feb. 14, from 5-8pm, parents can drop off their children (ages 4-10) and enjoy a night to themselves. Whether that means a quiet night at home, a romantic dinner, or simply enjoying a meal without interruptions, parents have the freedom to celebrate their way.

Meanwhile, children will enjoy an evening filled with play and adventure in a supervised setting, making it a win-win for parents and kids alike. Pizza and juice are included, and families also have the option to set up a snack or drink tab for their child, although it’s not required.

Season of Love Staycation

Looking for a romantic staycation instead? Try staying in Cherry Creek, where there is everything a couple might need for a romantic celebration close to home. The neighborhood is filled with luxury accommodations, world-class dining, boutique shopping, and art galleries.

Stay at Hotel Clio, a luxury hotel in Cherry Creek and the perfect homebase for your romantic “getaway” in Denver. The hotel is currently offering two packages this February to celebrate the season of love:

“Luxe in Love” features champagne on arrival plus a $150 dining credit at Toro Latin Kitchen & Lounge for an intimate dinner or leisurely weekend brunch. “The Heart’s Desire” involves curated treats from The Ambrosian Pantry, arrival flowers and champagne, a $150 Toro dining credit, and a private tour of Cherry Creek’s renowned art galleries.

Beyond the hotel, Cherry Creek’s boutiques have many options for date-night outfits and cute gifts while its spas and wellness centers like Face Foundrie and the NOW Massage are great ways to unwind with your partner. In addition to Toro’s Latin American-inspired cuisine, the area also has a long list of romantic restaurants for yummy drinks and meals.

Or if you just want to go for a sweet treat, Toro is releasing a pink La Bomba just in time for Valentine’s Day. A fun spin on their signature dessert, the La Bomba is filled with a variety of Sweet Action ice cream scoops, cookie crumbles, brownie bits, and fresh berries. If you want something hands-on, Toro’s Smash course allows guests to build their own pink La Bomba and includes a cocktail or mocktail (because dessert is better with a drink).
