The Parenting Media Association held their annual conference on November 6–7, 2025 in Chicago, Illinois. Nationwide publications gathered to share editorial ideas and brainstorm how to best serve their readers: families. (For example, YOU!)
Each year, the conference convenes with an awards banquet to celebrate the best of the best in parenting media publication. Winners are chosen by judges from the University of Missouri School of Journalism. Family Resource Group (the parent company of Birmingham Parent Magazine) was honored with twenty-five awards.

The focus on people, not just events or places, is engaging. Typography is legible and readable with muted yet effective use of color, generous line leading and white space, and a date/day/title/time structure that enhances efficient scanning. The Top 10 opening and the closing Spotlight feature are attractive bookends to the package.”
