“I guess the only advice I’d give to parents is to recognize that you’ll always have worries—that’s inevitable. But it’s important to step back and ask yourself, is this really something I need to be worried about? Some things truly deserve your concern, but others don’t require that much emotional energy. Learning to prioritize what matters can make a big difference.”
Alex Nikiforoff, Military Auxiliary Programs Coordinator with the Colorado Department of Military and Veterans Affairs, lives in Greeley with his wife and their six-year-old daughter. After retiring from 23 years as a military musician in the USMC, USAF, and US Army, Alex is an active member of various musical scenes, performing diverse musical styles solo and with bands throughout Northern Colorado and beyond. A passionate advocate for accessible, multimodal transportation, Alex enjoys biking and collaborates with local government to improve cycling and pedestrian safety. When not focusing on community efforts, Alex loves spending time with his family exploring parks, attending local festivals, and enjoying the simple joys of everyday family life.
