To celebrate National Ice Cream Day and introduce the community to its newly named food hall, The Berg is hosting a free, family-friendly Ice Cream Social on Sunday, July 20. This summer celebration will feature a sundae bar from Denver’s beloved Bonnie Brae Ice Cream, puppy playtime with Lifeline Puppy Rescue, and historical tours of the site, all held on the lawn of the future food hall. The event is open to the public and offers a sweet way to connect past, present, and future.

The Berg’s name honors the Shoenberg Farm, a historic dairy and poultry operation that once supplied dairy to Denver’s original Dolly Madison Ice Cream shops, one of which eventually became Bonnie Brae Ice Cream. This event celebrates that full-circle moment, bringing Bonnie Brae ice cream back to the land that helped make it possible.

What the event offers:
🍦 Ice Cream: Treat yourself at the complimentary Bonnie Brae Ice Cream sundae bar—a fan-favorite for locals since 1986.
🐶 Puppy Playtime: Lifeline Puppy Rescue will be on-site with playful rescue puppies, giving attendees of all ages the chance to interact and help these pups build their confidence around people.
🏛️ Historic Tours: Take a guided tour of the Shoenberg property, learning about the site’s legacy and the preservation efforts behind The Berg’s revitalization.
🎉 Community Fun: Enjoy snacks, drinks, and a vibrant atmosphere as you help shape the future of this exciting new community hub.
