Downtown Denver is getting a new superstar this holiday season. From November 30 through January 31, the 110-foot, seven-story tall Mile High Tree will grace Denver’s skyline. The LED tree features nightly light shows choreographed to multicultural holiday music.

Visitors can step inside the ADA-accessible tree to watch the 60,000 LED lights as they twinkle to songs like “Hanukkah, Oh Hanukkah”, “Silver Bells”, and “Feliz Navidad.” Through January 1, the tree is programmed to play instrumental holiday music, and from January 2 to 31, will play music from Colorado artists.

Visit Denver created the jaw-dropping tree, with help from Spain-based artistic lighting experts Ilméx Illumination, to provide a holiday attraction that promotes downtown Denver to locals and visitors alike. The tree will be the focal point of a new holiday attraction in Sculpture Park complete with holiday treats.

“The Mile High Tree will be the tallest art installation in the history of our city as well as a perfect community centerpiece for bringing people of all cultures together for seasonal celebrations,” says Richard Scharf, president and CEO of Visit Denver.

In addition to free admission, all of the tree’s events are free, including a princess meet and greet on December 8 and a dog meet and greet with Santa on December 22. The Mile High Tree will be open nightly from 5 to 10:30 p.m. in December, and until 9 p.m. throughout January. Entrance to the tree is at 14th and Curtis Street in downtown Denver.
