In March, Colorado Parent kicked off the 2019 Cover Kid search looking for fresh young faces to grace our covers in 2019 and 2020. We received more than 450 submissions of Colorado kids, and narrowed it down to four lucky winners—believe us, it wasn’t easy! Keep an eye out for these smiling faces on an upcoming cover of Colorado Parent.

Olive

    I’m always happy.

    A teacher.
  • What is your current obsession?
    My stuffed animals, especially “Woof Woof” my favorite puppy.
  • What are three things you want to do this school year?
    I want to learn new equations, make new friends, and go on fun field trips.
  • What do you look forward to most when you wake up?
    On school days, I look forward to my car ride with Dad because we play animal games.

Hadley

Age 7, Broomfield
  • What do you want to be when you grow up?
    A fashion designer or a scientist.
  • What is your current obsession?
    Pretending to babysit my dolls.
  • What makes you happy?
    My family.
  • What are three things you want to do this school year?
    Make new friends, learn how to read a chapter book, and get better at piano.
  • If you could make up a new holiday, what would it be?
    It would be the day after Easter and it would be called Bunny Day, where you can take your bunny wherever you want.

    A zookeeper.

    Making crafts for my friends.

    Make my own lunch, play at the playground, and make friends.
  • If you could make up a new holiday, what would it be?
    Pokémon Day; everyone has to play Pokémon all day.

    That my whole family lives here.

    I’m great at soccer, I can run fast, and I look nice.

    A famous soccer player.

    Get good grades, stay active, and continue to be a good student.

    I would create Children’s Day, like Father’s and Mother’s Day.
