Nestled in the heart of Colorado’s Central Plains, Old Town Museum embodies “Life in the Past Lane! The 6 ½ acre historic site includes 21 fully restored buildings with authentic artifacts from the turn-of-the-century. Come enjoy our exhibits, and stay for a hand-dipped ice cream in the Emporium! Just off I-70 near the Colorado/Kansas border, Old Town Museum celebrates agriculture, history and heritage. Old Town is available for rentals, including weddings, and RV Groups/Bus tours.
Founded in 1986, Old Town Museum believes that history inspires thought, stimulates imagination, and transforms society. Its mission is to preserve and interpret eastern Colorado at the turn-of-the-century through exhibits, education and entertainment reflective of the area's rich heritage. Open year-round, Old Town brings the rich history of eastern Colorado to life. From Memorial Day to Labor Day we offer live Can Can shows and gunfights every Saturday at High Noon. Our Wild West Dinner Theatre shows are a family favorite, reservations are required so be sure to call ahead. With several large events throughout the summer and fall, including Celebration of Summer, Old Town Pioneer Days, and Old Town Ghost Town, there’s something for young and old alike!
